Keep call in queue

I have a queue that currently has only one person in it. How do I make it so if they don't answer the phone it will go to "queued" status instead of going to the hunt groups voicemail ? If he steps away from his desk, we'd like it to stay in queue for when he returns.
 
Turn off vm to that hunt group or up the VM No Answer/No Answer timer.

I turned off VM and it just rings constantly to his phone. We are wanting it to go to our queue/hold music in the meantime. I tried keeping VM on and upping the no answer time and it just rang longer before going to VM. Where is the VM no answer time ? Is it separate ?
 
Give him a Group in/out (Huntgroup enable) button.
So if he leave,s the the call stay,s in Que.

In 4.0 en 4.1 its a new feature thet even when the phone rings the caller stays in que...

Well we dont want a group in/out button because I am trying to have this work so he doesnt need a DND button (all coming down to the user not wanting to remember to hit a button before they leave) Do I have any other options ? (aside from a massive upgrade)
 
Nope, then upgrade to 4.1.......

Why major upgrade what do you have??

We are on 3.2 . And every upgrade be it small or large has caused us nothing but heartburn for the 3 years we've had this blasted thing.
 
This may not work.

Create a VM leave action for the group in VM Pro, then add a goto selection for the queued startpoint for this group.

You wont have VM on this group any more by the way.

yeah, our service provider sucks pretty bad. They have actually come out and told us they have discontinued the ip office for new customers and have resorted to hiring outside help to fulfill our tickets.
 
So look for a good partner or better yet a good engineer...
Thats the guy that can help you maby someone here can help you

They stopped selling the ipoffice because they think it sucks but in real time the engineers suck because they do not know how to program the ipoffice
