Hi Folks,

I've just inherited an 8x24 w DR5 software and a Flash 2 unit (10 phones, 5 lines). The unit has been working fine until a building power issue caused a reset over the weekend just before the new year.

All of the handsets seem to have retained their programming (all 7310's), but the main system had lost all other programming. I've worked my way through most of the settings and all seems well except when any set tries to use the "Pick-Up" button to retrieve an incoming call when the main set is un-staffed. We receive "Pickup Denied" at all of the sets and someone has to run to the main station to pickup the call.

I can't find a reference to this "error" in our manuals or how to resolve it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Tim

make sure you put all the sets or only the ones you want into a group in :set capabilities or else you can't pick up set.

Bang!!!

I'd set the primary set to Group: No - DOH!

Even though all of the other sets were set to Group 1, with the primary set out of the group, there was no way for the other sets to pickup any of the incoming calls.

Kudos!

Tim

Primary set is usually left out on purpose. In a big place users pick up an outside call in error when they really were trying to pickup a transferred call near them. Leave in to answer outside/all calls.
