This beahvoir is possible?

avaya Ip office, 7.0, ip 5000 v2

User 100 gets a call, he answers
During that call, another incoming call gets to user 100, the calls rings on 2nd Appareance button, THEN after 6 rings, the call must go to user 103.

I know it is basic programming, but im confused about ringing "again" during a call?

A couple of ways this can be done. Either a hunt group with an overflow group. Or a forward on no answer on user 100.

Thanks for the fast response.

Then, it will be like this?

incoming route --> Hunt group (with only user 100) ---> overflown group (only the user 103)
..........(colective, no response time 20)..............(overflown time time 12?)

collective call waiting if you want it to wait for the six rings at ext 100, and six rings would be more around 30 seconds. The voice mail for that call would go to the hunt group mail box if enabled.

Which is a stupid construction, use the users "Divert on No Answer" setting as it is build for this feature...

I suggest that in the huntgroup programming you use "Collective Call Waiting" that allows the 2nd appearance to ring while on the first appearance. You will receive a short chirp of a ring and the 2nd appearance will flash.

Why mess with huntgroups, he wants the call to forward on No Answer? Just use that feature =)

Indeed, but if you want to you could use "coverage group" which is a cool feature which is hardly used and gives the user to set diverts and stuff like that which can't be done using regular collective groups.

Intrigrant is spot on, Coverage is by far the best option. You keep the CLI and the name of the forwarding extn.

Kind regards

The aforementioned solution is excellent, and it works as planned. There is only one problem. If the user 100 forwards to 106 on unconditional forwards, then the system does not send the call to 106 or to 103, and the system status appears call on queue

the call must be like this:

External number ---> group 5000 (ext 100) [if 100 is on call, the call rings on 2nd apparerance button and then goest to 103]--->103 rings till the call is answered

But if i make a unconditional forward from 100 to 111, it still working as intended?

Then follow intrigrants advice and don't use a ring group, Set the COVERAGE GROUP on the user.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
