Hi to everyone
A client of mine wants a redundant solution. We designed a solution with 2 server edition, each one on different location. They gonna use SIP trunks. But, they also want to have vpn phones in 8 different places. Is it possible that these phones, if the primary server fails, will register to the secondary server, using another vpn tunnel?

No way, they must use two hardware VPN's and then you can enter multiple call server ip addresses in the phone.

Then, if i choose h323 remote workers, will it work?
something like this:

server 1:
local ip phones and remote h323 exts
if SIP trunk group 1 fails, go to 2nd SIP trunk group
if server 1 fails go to secondary server
(both local ip phones and h323 remote phones)

Don't even think about using h323 remote workers!

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

I will agree with the don't bother with H323 remote workers. You open up your firewall to get it to work and you will almost certainly end up with issues.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
