Issue With Mitel 3300 Phone Lock

When the IP phone is locked, internal call are forbidden but users still can dial 0 and make an external call.

Can you please Help ?

0 is correct as this is allowed
Outside should be barred except for emergency calls. Are your routes for external calls set as 'emergency' routes?

This may be a design flaw as Zero in NA is typically an internal number for the reception.

In the UK, I understand that Zero is typically your ARS access code.

How are you locking the phone?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

0 is configured as ARS access code.
No Internal number is configured as local operator.
Routes for external calls are not emergency routes.

Kwb - UK 9 is generally outside access. However some other countries in Europe use 0 as ARS access.

I can start a new thread if needed bu ti would also be interested in how they can dial emergency only, is this defined on the ARS route and by basic COR programming? Trying to track down some info on this and it is proving quite a challenge!

ARS route, there is an option for 'route type' routes set to 'emergency' can be dialled

Yep, UK is nearly always 9 for an outside line, I have seen 0 for an outside line in Ireland though.

Regardless of the locality, what I said still stands. It would appear that Mitel has made an exception for dial zero when the phone is locked. If dial zero is an ARS access code then the phone can dial via ARS.

We use 0 for our ARS, our Country is set to Australia.
If I lock a phone I can't dial anything except an emergency route.

Can you please describe how did you program the class of service and the class of restriction ?

I tried to change the ARS digit lead from 0 to 9 but i still have the same problem.

Also I checked that all routes are not programmed as emergency routes but its seams that I miss something somewhere. looking forward for yours help

My system is very simple there aren't really any COR groups as don't restrict calls in our office. All calls use the 1 route.

Our system is standalone, are you working on a cluster??
If so change "Travelling Class Marks" to yes in System Options and see if that changes anything.

I have had a system use route lists across elements and even though it would be restricted on the local elements route it would make a call via another elements as second choice. This was a COR issue though not from a locked handset.
