Hi,

I have an issue where I cannot dial mobile/cell phone range of numbers 07595 xxxxxx on phones with NCOS 6. They work fine when dialling from a phone with NCOS 7. But I cannot see anything in NCOS 6 to block it? I have a hunch there is some other programming in the PBX I need to look at, BARS NARS etc?

You will absolutely need to check your NARS/BARS.

You will need to determine why these digits require NCOS 7 as compared to NCOS 6.

The answer will likely be in LD 90, 86 or 87 (could also be a combination of these).

I have checked for any SPN and there is no SPN.
Any further advice on what to check would be greatly apprichated!

Is there a shorter SPN that would match the leading digits of the number?

No there isnt.

Can you dial a number with those leading digits, and trace your phone to see what is going on?

OK it seems that there is a bit more to this. Now I have checked everything myself with the user it is just they cannot call forward their phone to the number. You can dial the number fine from the handset.
This is also the case when trying to to it on my phone wiht NCOS 7.

Call Forwarding is a separate can of worms.

Most likely, your incoming trunks do not have a high-enough level of access to allow an outbound call.

An easy way to confirm this is to look at your Options in LD 15 (printed in ld 21).

Here are my OPTions from one of my sites.

Code:
OPT AHD BIND BIXA BLA CFF CFRA
COX CPA CTD DBD DNX DSX
HTU HVD XBL IC1 IDP XLF
IHD XTG FKA LOD LRA MCI
    MWUD PVCD REA RND
    RTR RTD ROX SYD
    TTAD VOBA CWRD HLPD HRLD
    CXOD GPAD MKRA

Notice the CFF in the first line. This tells the system to use the restriction levels of the 'Forwarding' entity when determining access for Call Forward. If you see CFO, then the 'Originating' party restrictions - in this case the inbound trunk - are used.

Bottom line - if you see CFO, change it to CFF and see if it works.

Thanks, I do indeed have CFO. To change it I assume, ld 15
chg
rdr
opt cff

?

Thanks.
Tom.

That should do it. Anyplace in LD 15 where you get the OPT prompt will allow you to change any valid option.

Hmmmm still no luck :-( Still just getting the NU tone when I try and set the forward to 07595 xxx xxx.

Any other ideas anyone? This is really beating me this one!

Check Inbound/Outbound Routes setting TRMB 'YES'
Call Forward Digit lengths
Remember to Prefix numbers with AC1/AC2 Code '9' in your case

Maybe a plug in required as that I see thats DPNSS to Mobile

Enable DPNSS Trace on DDSL

LD 75
.ENL MON X (DDSL Number)
.DIS MON X (Disable DDSL Number)

Cheers!!

Is it possible that the TLD on the station class of service is blocking the call?

Here in the U.S. I would give the set CTD.

I am still curious as to how those outbound digits are processed by the system...
