SDM Client 7.1.3

When I try to add a host to SDM Client, I get:
"Retrieving host certificate info is failed: The server ... does not exist"

Avaya PCN claims it is because of local computer name exceeding 15 characters. This is not the case with my machine.

I am not connecting to AVP, but to ESXi.

Any ideas?

...In the error, it adds /sdk to the FQDN even though I did not included it:

"Retrieving host certificate info is failed: The server does not exist"

All I inserted in the FQDN field was servername.vmware.com.

What is that all about?

Is it a stand alone ESXi host or is the host being managed by vCenter? If the host is being managed by vCenter then SDM should connect to the vCenter not the host.

It is a four-server cluster managed by vCenter. (The guests could be on any of the four server.) I have tried the vCenter management server name, the individual host name, and the DNS alias name; I get the same error each time.
