Hi there lads.
Do anybody have some howto or documents about isdne traces.

I have a problem with one of my customers, the line is going down without a reason. I have a ISDN Trace but I`m affraid I don`t understand it enough to find the problem.

I would but there is good few megs of this in text only so I don`t think this is good idea.

I`m looking for some materials which can give me more informations about how the call is send and recive from the layer 1, 2 and 3. I have found some codes but this is only small pice of knowledge and I need some more.
 
Search for cause=, lock and falc

Look for PHDI and PHAI, most of the time you will see F8 and F3 prior to the line going down.

F1 Inactive
F2 Sensing
F3 Deactivated
F4 awaiting signal
F5 identifying input
F6 synchronized
F7 activated
F8 lost framing

Where BRI L1 sates value is as follows :-

Message Description

PHAI Physical Activate Indication (i.e. Line is UP)
PHDI Physical Deactivate Indication (Line is DOWN)
T3TO T3 timeout has occurred
TxErr A Transmit error has occurred
UnLocked The IP Office is not able to lock its clock to this line.
Locked The IP Office and the clock extracted from this line are locked together.
