Hello

Can someone tell me, I have a customer that has a old Mitel system using ISDN 30 Dass and need to change this to ISDN 30e for the new phone system, If I get this changed by openreach will the Mitel system still work or would you have to change the card and reprogram the system for this to work?

Thanks

Mark

Define "Old" by type of phone system, Specific hardware in use for Digital Trunks and Software load.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Dass i usually delivered on 75 ohm coax and e on 120 ohm RJ45. Depending on system you may have to change card (ones like the imagination had a simple switch on the card to change the termination method. So it may be a card change unless you can get openreach to deliver the e on 75ohm co-ax. Its been a long time mind since i delved into Dass but IIRC it is just a protocol so the card should still be the same. I guess you could even use 75 ohm baluns to convert to rj45 if the put a different NTE in. (again IIRC some of the older NTE;s had 3 or 4 metods of termination. There will be some reprogramming of the old system to do though I would expect.
