I require someone's help please!!!

I want to allocate always the oldest stock quantity of production batches to customer orders

E.g. Let's say I have stock 3 of pens (from 3 different production batches)

Warehouse Stock: Pen Stock1 = 20 (oldest stock), Pen Stock2 = 10, Pen Stock3 = 30 (newest stock)

Customer Orders are: Customer1 requires 10, Customer2 requires 15, Customer3 requires 20

I want to allocate Customer1 with Pen stock1 so that I have 10 left. Then allocate
the remaining 10 of Pen stock1 to Customer2, and make up the order quantity with 5 from Pen stock2, and so on.

Thank you in advance for your assistance

First - how or what identifies the oldest/newest batch?

Second - do you want to record the transaction and which batch or part batch was allocated to which client?

Third - how do you want to display the allocation information - Form or report???

Firstly, thanks for your response. The stock production date identifies the oldest batch. In other words, the oldest batch will have the earliest expiry date. So, i want to always use the earliest batch date first.

yes - I will like to record the transaction and which batch or part batch was allocated to which client. it is important for traceability to know which part batch went to which customer.

i want to hold the allocation information within a table, and display in report

i hope this gives you enough background information. thanks once again for your assistance.
