I can't seem to find a concrete answer to this question. Can on premise Skype For Business 2015 be integrated with Avaya IP Office R10? I know the Office 365 version can and I've found info on that.

This is what it supports according to docs

Microsoft Lync 2013 version 15.0.4535.1507 or higher
Supports Microsoft Lync 2013 (32 & 64 bit) platforms
Supports Skype for Business 2016

Thank you for the article Demce0501. That's what I was looking for.

Sorry for the dumb question, but are you using the skype client as a native client to make internal and external calls (softphone)

This is what we want to use with Office 365.
Thanks

As I understand you need to setup a Skype for Business Cloud Connector Edition on a server to connect the PBX with o365 Skype.

I "can" use the native Skype for biz client to make and receive calls, but its through and on prem SFB server. I do have a hybrid deployment for SFB, but I haven't figured out how to connect my IPO to the cloud SFB yet. Not sure if I'll even explore that route.

Also - MS is moving towards Teams which I'm slowing trying to learn how to connect IPO to that. Stay tuned.
