I've got an issue that seems so simple to fix but just can't seem to pinpoint and maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

Just installed an IPO v2 Rls 8 with IP 1220/30's and 7 analog trunks to which 3 are going to the reception desk and the remaining 4 destined for other staff members.

My issue is that the 3 trunks assigned to the reception phone *IP 1230* are ringing at the reception and have verified via system status however they aren not being picked up by voicemail and just continuously ringing. I call the other 4 trunks to the other staff members and I get their voicemail. I've confirmed that the settings for each of the phones are no different than the reception.

I've taken one of the trunks assigned to the receptionist, changed the destination to another extension and confirmed I get voicemail. Thought i would have all the trunks in a separate line group however that didn't make a difference.

This is a basic setup, no AA or hunt groups and voicemail is enabled for the receptionist and using embedded voicemail.

These 3 trunks are not programmmed as a line appearance and the only hunt group is the default one listed out of the box and have confirmed that only the reception is listed in this group.

I can hit voicemail if I call the reception desk internally.

If you have those lines pointed to the default Main group, look at the voicemail answer time. By default it is set to 45 seconds which is a very very long time. That could be the issue as default for extensions is 15 seconds.

Indeed, it will not be the Receptionists VM that answers it will be the groups, you need to check the groups VM settings :)

Agree with amriddle01.

I the lines are pointed to a Hunt group then the voicemail option on the hunt group needs to be ticked.

Then you will need to go to users, your reception extn, sources
and add the Hunt group to give you an indicator if a message is left.

source: H(huntgroupname)..eg Hmain if its the main hunt group.

Hope this helps

Sorry haven't updated this thread. Just wanted to thank you for the advice and I have resolved the issue by simply outing the phone and re-registering it.

With all the testing I was performing on this phone, must have freaked it out so by simply outing the programming of the phone and registering again as first time install, worked.
