Hi,
I've just inherited an Avaya IPOffice 403 with ISDN and Analogue trunk cards and also a 400 - 8 port analogue expansion device.
Thus far, I have removed the previous configuration (no usernames / passwords) using the DTE and have a default setup (albeit I've changed the IP address to fit my network).
Currently, I have 1 Avaya handset, which I believe must be an analogue handset as it was plugged into one of the analogue BT lines here and worked!
So I've made no other changes thus far, and when I call the phone number attached to the ISDN line (no analogue lines connected to the IPO), the analogue phone extension rings and works without issue.
However, after a period of time (unsure how long or if there is an event that I'm unaware of), the phones no longer ring. Upon lifting the handset there is no longer a tone and I can't make calls either. If I unplug the phone and plug it into any of the other analogue extension ports there is no tones there either.
I'm a software programmer of many years, but by no means a telephone engineer. Appreciate that this is probably an old piece of kit, but any help appreciated. Don't want to commit to buying some digital handsets etc if the basic phone system is knackered!
Thanks
