Hey,
ronromano started the wish list last year. I think it´s time for a new wish list!

- DTMF with Softconsole
- Softconsole need to Edit the Toolbar, mostly i need
to hide CallRecordButton
- Buttonprogramming
need for a button that is able to send more than one
digit as dtmf on a call
- IPOManager
it would be great if there is a worksheet, where you
can mark some Users and change something and this change
is applied to every user for e.g. mark 10 User and set
reserve last CA for all of them (like the Avaya ISA
Application for Integral 5) this would save a lot of time.
- some customer ask to receive the call log as an email,
i don´t think it is that good, but other vendors do it,
and so it is an advantage for them
- support for 16xx phones and 96xx phones (i know 16xx
will come, but the advantage for 96xx phones is the
admnistrationtime no paper labels)
- T38 support for IP-analog faxadapters,
- Avaya IP-analog adapter, without need for extra licensing

next one please

If you make point 15 a 1Ltr bottle of Jack you can could me in. I might even suggest it to Avaya!!

All good things -
I would like to see a Vmail Transfer that works the same as on Avaya's Partner/Magix systems

Allow coverage to a POTS port - I know you can do it with internal twinning, but the way it worked in 2.0 or 2.1 was great

For the small user - make the key functionality more like the Partner system

Support the 9600 Series IP sets!!!! Any marketing done by Avaya only shows these sets that everyone wants - come on Avaya the 54 and 56 sets aren't bad, but compared to other vendors who have a slim modern appearance to their sets - you are behind the times

Allow voice intercom calls to be established like the Partner/Magix systems or even Panasonic does - I hate voice announce at all on the IPO because the call cannot then be transferred as a ringing call - this really sucks especially when you sell alot of IPOs to current Avaya Partner/Magix customers

...

A couple of small things from my end...

1) Dial by name on the embedded VM
2) http version of manager
3) an Avaya VMPro "box" - rack mountable server that looks like IP500, doesn't require the customer to buy a box,OS, etc.

Oh yeah... 1 more.

For IP 500 cards, it would be great to have the ability to enable the last 4 ports (9-12) as digital station, analog station, or whatever.

It's good to dream!

@DJRabin

2) http version of manager

I think this will be much slower as the tool is now, Mitel has a HTML interface but the problem will always but reading an offline Bachup. And your programming online instead of offline a back-up will take much longer.

greetzzz...Bas

Your last thing will never happen
Everything in telecom (and it) has an 8 in it
That is because of the 8 bits
That is why pc's are (right now) 32 bits or 64 bits
That iws why you have vcm 32 and 64
Also that is why cards on a pbx are 8 or 16 ports
It is cheaper to make it 8 then 12 because then you raughter can make it 16 but that does not fit on the card

Good one :)
If you remove the front there are two more ports
I never tried if do work realy
But there must be a realy good reason for it (the 30 ports)

tlpeter, are the 4 port daughter card kinda upsetting your argument. Otherwise agreed, there's no need to have a separate DS daughter card when you can just add another base card and if you don't have any base slots left just admit that you need a pro system with external expansion (ps Ron, if they make all 500 systems pro by default I assume you're not going to complain about the price rise for 500 base units).

Whoever said voice enable VMPro owes me a bottle of whiskey or I'll have them in court re my idea (see the Best Features thread).

You could in a manor even add ISDN 30 to this, I Know its 30 but by the time you have your D Channel and over heads you still get your 2048/64 = M/bits = 32! :)

ISDN 30 = 30B+2D = 32 x 64Kbps channels. and look 64/8=8.

Another one for you tlpeter VCM 5/10/20/30!!!!!!!!

It's almost like these things are all designed around Base 2 counting!!!!!!

Bas - makes sense that HTTP interface would be slower.

One reason I'd like to do the above would be to know if another admin/user is working on the configuration.

It would be cool too if Manager could handle the following:

Let's say you log in and make a change that requires a reboot and you set it to "Timed". Then you need to log in and make another change that is mergable and you merge - your "Timed" change is lost.

It would be great if Manager could sum the changes and apply all at the "Timed" schedule. I suppose all of this goes back to the fact that you're making changes offline.

@DJRabin,

In audit trail you can see some change that are made but still not live.
Maybe in the monitor?!
That last option is a good one.

Enable ALL user options to be imported via .csv and also adjusted via User Rights. Isn't that just stupid when you have to import users, then go in and copy and paste thier full names, add VM reception and other goodies. Also show user status when dialing a la Nortel.

isdn bri/So take double resources so that make's 8 again
And only using 4 ports is still half of 8 !!!
Everybody learned at school that it is all 8bit based
The ATM4 trunk card can only be a comprimise because there are only 4 ports available
There is also a 16 port ATM expansion module (2x8)
Why there where the 5 channel based vcm cards i don't know
Now they are again 4 channels

tlpeter, I don't want to reveal how old I am but its wasn't always all 8 - your teacher's were either ill-informed or shielding your young developing mind from the full horrors of 4-bit, 6-bit, 12-bit ans 18-bit processors. [Yes, my first computer program was written on punch cards. My first PC had a row of switches for input of the individual bits and a row of lamps for displaying the current values. Stop me now or I'll start crying about PDP11's and 8 inch floppy disks]

My first pc had a turbo button and then it was 12 megaherz quick
Otherwise it was 8 megaherz :)
I won't reveal how old yuou might be either
But you know where it is based on, the old 4 bit who is change to the more logical 8 bit
I can't find the real docs about it but if people read it, it is all more logic
IT all has to do with electronic elements !

Turbo Button on a PC!!!!

This has turned from a wish list to a nostalgia trip.

Anyone still got a ZX81 with a massive 1KB memory????? Or even a Sinclair Spectrum 48KB with rubber keys????

God I feel old!
