Hi, I am upgrading an IP Office currently at rls 8.1.73 and have the plds upgrade license file. With previous sites (rls 9) I was able to just go to license/upload plds and choose the correct file. In rls 8.1.73 that is not an option. I was told I could perform the upgrade (to rls 10.1) first an then upload the upgrade license without issue. Can anyone tell me of this is correct? Or is there some other process that is best? Thanks for any help.

That is because PLDS was introduced in 9.1

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

You can rename the license file to PLDSKeys.xml and upload it to system\primary onto the SD card before updating. It will not be deleted and used after the reboot during update.

Works well.

derfloh's suggestion works, I have done it myself. Also there is no harm in upgrading to 10 and uploading the license after.

Or considering it takes 10 seconds to upload the file just do the upgrade and then upload the file straight after.

Thanks all for the great suggestions. I did the sd card upgrade then added the license after. Success!
