Hi folks, apologies if this has been covered elsewhere I'm down to tearing my hair out looking for the correct combination of keywords.

Basically I have 2 sites, connected by MPLS-VPN with QoS and all IP routes are sorted. Both sites have IPO 406's ( albeit differing FW ) I'm trying to set up an IP Line between the 2 for the transfer of internal calls.

created new line, ( line 10, inc grp 10, out grp 10, IP of site B IPO )

shortcode of 2N, ., Dial, Group ID 10

watching callstatus - dialled number gets sent to ISDN ( line 5 ) not IP ( Line 10 )

Any suggestions

TIA

Mark
============================

Config

Site A - 192.168.3.0/255.255.255.0 - 406 FW 3.2(55)
Site B - 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 - 406 FW 21.(27)

Is your isdn line set to group 10 also?

Afternoon kwing112000

yes, all IP line settings are as you would expect

the only thing i haven't done is set up the return IP Line ( the return IP ROUTE is there and working )

Cheers

Hi - further info

compression set to auto
voice networking is ticked
H450 set to H450
no short codes on the line settings ( they're in short codes )
TEI = 0
no phone number entered in line settings

Hope this helps too

Mark

Yes - all IP routes are up and working

I can ( and am ) using thin clients too so I know all the networking side is ok

cheers

With Voice networking checked the system short codes do not matter. The SCN overrides that. Do your ISDN lines connect to the other office by chance?

Kwing112000

nope - ISDN are purely for calls to the 'outside world' and work as expected ( and have been for a while )

Now the MPLS is in it's time for the posh stuff ( calls to/from mother ship over it to minimise costs

Do you have least cost routing set up? Maybe when you dial the 2 it is picked up in the LCR as a dial out code. Do you need to dial 9 or just dial the number? If it is the LCR try just for testing to remove the entry for 2N and see what happens.

good shout kwing.

Delete your system short code 2xx, if you are using scn you do not need that, in fact if you have it it may route to the lcr form for processing and be routed over isdn.

I think kwing has nailed it there.

Hi Guys

nope - not using LCR
have removed short codes from both the Line and System areas, still nothing

Thanks for all the help so far

Mark

If it helps - I can provide a link to a hosted copy of the config

Just let me know - and thanks again

It'll be tomorrow now as its on my work laptop

and

yes only created the IP Line on one ( told you I was a bit rusty )

Cheers

Mark

Yep, gotta have it built on both ends. Otherwise the remote IP Office is just receiving a bunch of IP traffic that is doesn't know what to do with.

Hi

so what your saying is that i need a reciprocal IPline as well as IP Routes

fair enough

give anything a go once ( twice if i like it heh heh )

Cheers
