Hello all,

I have a problem with my Embedded VM card in my Small Office 4.0(7), fist i have put the card in straight from the box into the SMO and put the power in and it kept on rebooting.
After that i've upgraded the card to the latest G723 files still the same. I send the card back to avaya and got a new one. That new card did the same then I have tried to upgrade it the first time with tftp and the send g723 file in DOS, and also upgrade with a card reader when i put it in the card reader i can see some strange maps(i didn't touch those) and a lvmail directory, in that directory i've put the g723 files in. Nothing work it keeps on rebooting.

Had anyone had the same problem?

Mine does the same thing. Have you found a resolution yet?

Still no resolution.
I've used an old card from a collegue and that card works fine.
The diference between them is that when i put the card reader in my laptop in the working card i only see a directory "lvmail" and in the new card from Avaya is see 3 maps and 3 files with strange caracters like "ìoqæÀÎ[.$gî" and "É?<4\?.¸?"
I'm still waiting for an answer

a tricky thin to try is deleting those strange folders and copy the Vmail folder to it
only thing not to do is format the card
then it is screwed :)

I've tried to rename them but that's not possible.
You'r right about the format, then you will remove your hidden files.
