Good day,

I am here and registered cause I am having the same issue as a lot of folks and need to pound it in my head how it works. Here is what I have.

Data: 172.20.16.0/24 GW: 172.20.16.11
Voice: 192.168.4.0/24 GW:192.168.4.250
IPO 192.168.4.2 (LAN1)

I can get to both Vlans without any issues

I cannot manage my IPO from my data network and I cannot ping it. What has been done? what every one been saying on fourms,

default route to voice subnet gaeway. Still nothing. I can also manage other devices on both subnets across my vpn as well. Any insight ?

Best practice is to attach both LAN ports to a switch were the switch port you attach IPO LAN1 to is setup for untagged data VLAN only and the IPO LAN1 has a fixed ip address in the data subnet, the switch port you attach IPO LAN2 on is setup for untagged voice VLAN only and IPO gets a fixed ip address in the voice subnet.
In the setup you have you must have a route in IP Office like 172.20.16.0/255.255.255.0/192.168.4.250/LAN1.
Now your data from the data network does get to the IP Office but the IP Office cannot reach the data network.

Just like intrigrant said, did you add an IP Route with the subnet?

All issues I had with data and network, I would always forget to add the IP Route to LAN1.

you would need to bridge the gap between the 2 vlans with routable interface. if your data switch is layer 3 it can do it. if your router has the ability to do 2 vlan interfaces then do it that way. You can always just plug the other interface on the ip office into a port on the data switch that is setup as for the data vlan and config the ip address on the ip office.

You know whats funny... I'm sure that it was working all the time... when I save the config, I never rebooted but just saved...

Gotta love troubleshooting..

Solution? What has been said in almost every forum post... a default route to your gateway...

I appreciate your time guys..
