Hi Guys,

i am currently working on installing a 9.0.300 IPO 6 expansion cabinets and Voicemail Pro.

The UC Card and IPO were at different Releases the IPO was at 6.0 and the VM was at 8.0, i proceeded to upgrade the IPO first from 6.0 to 8.0 the to 9.0, then i created my ISO usb drive with 9.0.3 and proceeded to upgrade the UC Module.

Now i have them both upgraded.

My problem is that i could not access the UC Module using the Web 192.168.42.1:7070, in manager under system/voicemail tab the select Voicemail is UC but the ip address is greyed and i cannot change it to 169.254.0.2 . The VM Pro UC Module i can view in system status the VM but shows an IP Address of 0.0.0.0 i could not find the VM Pro client on the Avaya server to download and now the IPO is giving me an error saying not running on primary SD software.

I am stomped can someone help me figure out what i did wrong

That is a new setting.
You do not need to put that strange IP address anymore.
What does monitor show?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I think i need to address the IPO error not running on primary SD software cause it won't allow me to do any changes on IPO.

Do i need to recreate SD card? Format? not sure

i tried to apply a change on the IPO to select the UC Module under system/voicemail and the system is stuck all lights red. Over an hour now

Recreate the SD card.
Running secondary software means from the IPO flash memory.
Voicemail does not work because the system has no licences.

Hi guys,

I was able to recreate the SD Card and the IPO is working correctly when i go to any phone and test the voicemail appears as not running,
i tried to access the UC Module directly via Explorer using the as per the UC module to do the ignition and i cannot access it.

When i go to Manager and view the UC Module via Control Units/UC Module/unit ip 0.0.0.0 the installation manual says that this is suppose to have an internal ip address of 169.254.0.2 i cannot figure out how to change this.

internal IP Addresses
The IP Office applications use the following fixed addresses for internal connections. You need to be aware of them as they appear in the IP Office system and one-X Portal for IP Office configuration settings. These fixed are addresses from the IANA link local range.
· 169.254.0.1
This address is used for the provider connections from the one-X Portal for IP Office application to the IP Office. It is also used as the SNTP time source address for the Unified Communications Module.
· 169.254.0.2
This address is used for the connections to the voicemail server by the IP Office and the one-X Portal for IP Office application

Check and ensure that the IP Office switch configuration is set to the Voicemail Type of Voicemail Lite/Pro with the Voicemail IP Address of 169.254.0.2

What is the IPO LAN 1 connection?... Is it 192.168.42.1.

Connect a monitor and keyboard.
Reboot the UCM and look at the monitor to see what IP address it has.
If not correct login and type system-config-network
Change the IP address and type service network restart.
Then try again.

when i reboot i am getting that this is an unknown command

After several attempts to reboot i am getting the following error:

Kernel panic - not syncing: attempted to kill init!
Pid: 1, comm: init Not tainted 3.0.4-0.appscard.e16 #1
Call Trace:

Should i try to reinstall from the usb the iso file again?
