Hello All,
IPO 7.0 with Nortel TCM Module and a T7406e attached.
It was running fine for 8 months and then problems occured with handset saying intializing or going completley dead.
Replaced the battery on the T7406E which seemed to work for 2 weeks.
Then went back to initializing again.
My supplier gave me a new unit, which I went to site with.
I used a brand new charged battery and used a brand new 7406E Handset and registered it with the original base station.
Phone came back up no problem however when it goes into sleep mode, it freezes and doesnt come back out. The only thing that works is putting phone back on cradle, or incoming call comes in seems to wake it up.
Not sure what to do next.
Can anyone help!!

I don't know much about the Nortel handsets, but are they firmware upgradable? Are you on the latest build of rel 7?

I don't believe there is a firmware upgrade for the phone.
The release for IPO is the latest.

I have about 40 of these on different ipos and have the same battery issues,i feel like the battery manufacturer is messing something up, its a chronic problem

The 7406's have always been a pain the butt. From batteries to losing connection with the base stations, we have just about given up on them. Even on out Nortel systems we install an ATA with a regular cordless phone. Not as many functions but at least it works...

Thanks everyone, This is my first time putting one on an Ipo, I've never had this sort of error on the bcm or mics/cics. The solution worked fine for 8 months.
Just frustrating. I guess I'll have to go the analog cordless route
