Hi Guys, i have been having a problem with an IP office 9.0.1.0 build 845 that reboots about once a week and the reason it gives is "Abnormal termination"
Termination cause: <Program E> addr=000000000 d=5 pc=f1582bc stack=f1582718 f15827e0 f1580d5c f157e4f4 f157f9f4.
Any ideas?
Thanks

addr=000000000 => That's not the IPO, but something external, like line provider.

Kind regards

Gunnar

but they are on copper lines , how can a copper line cause a reboot?

Copper like in Analog, BRI, PRI, or SIP converter?

Kind regards

Gunnar

It shouldn't reboot so you should put a ticket with Avaya.

Kinda strange that in a product this old you still can expect the system to crash now and then.

"Trying is the first step to failure..." - Homer

Usually the IPO rebooting is caused by something overwhelming it, like a circular reference or a flooding of the memory.
A reboot is a way out, trying to get rid of the problem.

All these codes are considered state secret by Avaya, they won't tell you jack $hit what they mean.
You should leave Monitor running and make it log to File. When this occurs again, check out the logs, see what happened in the system right before it took a dive.

I'm confident that this is an external thing.
What have you connected to the system? VMPro, SoftConsole, expansion modules, 3rd pty software/hardware, line types, etc, etc...?

Kind regards

Gunnar

I had a TLB data read error today on 9.0.6
I have seen the TBL data error a lot but not one with read in it :)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

It has 2 combo v2 and 2 DS8, about 20x 1408 and 6 analog lines from the telco.
It also has 2x 1416s with a DBM32 on each
Its only running a embedded VM 4 ports
