I have set-up multiple attendants to accomplish this before. So, say you want them to dial *8401 to record the greeting remotely. Set * on the main attendant to go to another AA in which 8 is set to go to another AA. That AA then has 4 which goes to another AA which has 0 going to another AA which finally has 1 goes to *8401. No need to record and messages on the dummy AA's. If they call and get the attendant, they dial *8401 and it will send them to *8401.
The toggling of AA can be done via a button on phones and hunt groups, but I have not been able to figure a way to set an attendant remotely for embedded.
Call is directed to HG 201, with a member that is forwarded to a short code that directs to AA:menuDay.
201's Night Service Fallback is HG 202, with a member that is forwarded to a short code that directs to AA:menuNight.
And 201's Out Of Service Fallback is HG 203 with a member that is forwarded to a short code that directs to AA:menuHoliday
In menuDay, * transfers to AA:menuRemote
In menuRemote, 0 transfers to AA:menuRecordings
1 transfers to AA:menuSelect
7 transfers to *17
In menuRecordings, 1 transfers to *8401, 2 to *8402, 3 to *8403, and the recording says "For the Day Greeting, press 1; for the Night Greeting, press 2, and for the Holiday Greeting, press 3"
In menuSelect, 1 transfers to *601, 2 to *602, 3 to *603, and 4 to *604.
*601 is a shortcode to Set Hunt Group Night Service, 201
*602 is a shortcode to Clear Hunt Group Night Service, 201
*603 is a shortcode to Set Hunt Group Out Of Service, 201
*604 is a shortcode to Clear Hunt Group Out Of Service, 201
The recording in menuSelect is "To set the turn the Night message ON, press 1. To turn the Night message OFF, press 2. To turn the Holiday message ON, press 3. To turn the Holiday message OFF, press 4"
User calls in, presses *0 to record the prompts (I also make a shortcode of *#732 to go to AA:menuRecordings for changing them from inside the office)
Presses *1 to change the Mode (turning Night or Holiday OFF will set it back to Day mode, if they are switching from one to the other, it will take 2 calls to complete the process)
And if the user calls in and presses *7, they are get the voicemail login prompt, just like their old Partner or Merlin.
