I have an IPO 500v2 running 8.1.43 software. I have an issue with an extension that has a did assigned to it, and cannot dial out. when I delete the DID, i am able to dial out.

What can cause this issue?

I am able to dial out from all extensions except this one with a DID assigned to it.

Thanks for the help

your PRI provider blocks your calls as they don't allow that number to go out.
You can send another number via ARS and see if it works then if you have a DID the system sends automatically that number as caller ID so if the provider forgot to allow that to be sent you are having that issue.

i have the direct number of the supervisor dealing with this customer

What kind of telephone are you using at the extension? I ask because sometime you have to program "User rights" on the troubled extension.

Never heard of that problem before. US locale dependent [ponder]?
Can you keep the DID and put a .s shortcode?

it is US locale dependant because most of the providers don't allow you to send a caller ID of a line you don't own so if you try they block your call.

I thought OP owned this DID and it was part of the range he was calling from?

here the call would go through but the caller ID presented would be the DIR or private number.
