Hi... have a customer running 6.1 on an IP500V2. They move IP phones (16xx) around a fair bit, and twice now have recieved HTTP 503 errors when a phone tries to reboot.

When trying to access the SD card from Manager, we get the same error.

A reboot of the IPO cures the problem...for a while!

Anyone seen this and have a cure?

Cheers, Matt

take the card out, format it in your pc / laptop (USING MANAGER) and then use manager again to re-create it.

Thanks, HSM

That was done when I built the system 3 months ago...are you saying the card has got corrupted?

Matt

its possible.

just do it as a matter of course. then upload all the phone files again. all else failing, try setting up a local HTTP server and see if that works any better.

just make the Home folder your Manager folder.

Thanks HSM...

Did a re-format of the SD card, and the system has been fine for the last 4 weeks or so...

But it's just failed again, in the same way... Customer's not happy with it, and wont provide a pc for an external HTTP server.... Should I suspect the card itself?

Matt

Is it on 6.1.5???

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

On a PC install HFS, a very light weight HTTP server you can download for free.

You point it at your manager folder. Works like a champ, especially for the new 16xx and 96xx phones which require faster communication than an IPO chassis can proxy.

Hello, hairlessupportmonkey how can I bringing the switch up to 6.1.12?, I have the same problem with 2 IP Office, one of them is the IP Office of the laboratory!, it's only for demos and tests, once a month has this problem.

The IP Office is 6.1.12, I've upgrade my IP Office Manager for 7.0.

Thank you!

Sorry, you do Demo's and Tesing on the IP Office but don't know how to upgrade the system?

tlpeter, Yes, 6.1(5) at the mo...will be upgrading to (12) on Monday....

Yes, I'm new with this PBX, I work with Nortel... you know the history... :(.

I've upgrade this IP office from 6.0 to 6.1, I just upgraded the manager, it was easy. My manager is for 7.0 now, can I upgrade to 6.1.12 with this manager?

Thank's for your patience!!

When you the binfiles then yes you can.
You only need to change the working directory.

Why do they physically move the handset instead of just logging off/on when they need to move?
