Client has automatic gate, we installed DoorKing 1812 access plus controller/ keypad. analog line from 1812 to Cisco SPA112. phones are on voice VLAN.
the flow=
when the call button is pressed on the 1812 it rings the group. all phones are IP except for 1 which is 1416. when the 1416 picks up the call a digit is pressed and the gate opens. when an IP phone picks up the call and digit pressed there is no DTMF from any of the IP phones.
Have discussed with the Avaya vendor, with the same release, IP Phones do send DTMF fine
System config
IPO 500 V2 10.0
Analog combo. 4 Co's
5 9608G
1 1416
All switches are HP L2 and L3
Router is Cisco 2911 with telecom license
Infrastructure
SPA112 connects to Cisco 8 port managed L2
Cisco connects to LAN via fiber> hop to HP L2> hop to HP L2> hop to HP L2> copper hop to Cisco 2911
We've checked all IP and DTMF configs in phones and IPO. any input would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks team!

Hello Nutritional_Info.
I am not sure what you're suggesting. please provide a little more info?
Thanks a bunch!

Careful telbouy916, in some locales (such as mine), "Thanks a bunch!" is less than friendly and an invitation to receive a bunch of fives in return.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thanks for the tip, sizbut. Always friendly and respectful from me.

Find the extension number for your Cisco SPA 112 ATA's user profile, go to the extensions segment, find the SIP Base Extension that matches the ATA's user profile's number. Once in there, change the DTMF signaling. If I had to guess, it's configured as inband right now, and it would likely work RFC2322. Every trunk is different though.

Thank you again, National_Info.
Currently all of the IP phones are set to Out of Band DTMF. Just letting you know.
Thank you once again. I have asked the client to try testing one of the phones communication with the gate and definitely will get back to you.
Appreciated.
With gratitude

We found, in extensions>VOIP>requires DTMF was unchecked at all IP extensions. I swear we checked them in past testing. nonetheless this box needs to be checked for this instance to function.
I am very grateful for persons whom have helped us in the last 34 years. while we do our job well, we all need a bit of assistance from time to time and we will pay it forward.
Thank you community!
Chris
