Does the IPO 500 really need 19 inches of clearence on all 4 sides when its wall mounted? Why would there be the need for more clearence on each side than the actual size of the IP500?

If I was wall mounting one I would allow at least 5cm clearence for heat disapation on all sides.

Because they stuck that toasty brick inside the 500.

It's a disclaimer same as "coffee is hot if spilled"

Use your best judgment.

Thanks for the advise.

Its not Avaya's choice, it what the various approvals people require if you want your kit approved for sale in their country.

At least the could have put external access to the fuse!!!

At the moment if the fuse goes it is diabolical to try and change it especially if it is wall mounted.

What about how they want it mounted with the cards to the right. Do you think they want the power supply above everyhting else so the heat wont rise over and damage the cards?
