Customer was ugraded from Elite 192 to IPK 4600. We just put another CPU in it. Added a PRI from a.t.&t. 20 B-Channels on PRT U-20 in slot 1-7. Static is heard on the customers side as well as "clipping or choppines" I don't hear it on my end. We swapped the CLK card but I wonder if a D-Channel trace will show us anything. There are no alarms on the PRT card or ext. 100 on port 01.

I am also considering requesting a.t.&t. stress test the circuit.

Opinions, ideas?

Sounds like you have slips on the actual T-1. Have you tried another T-1/PRT card? I've included how to monitor the T-1/PRT Card through Hyperterminal.

PRT Card Trace
1. Connect to PRT card using Hyperterminal at
115,200 (I think I used a VM cable)
2. Press M for Menu (or type Menu and press Enter)
3. Press L for Log Mask
4. Make sure that only J, B and I are set to 1;
everything else must equal 0 (press the letters to
toggle them between 0 and 1)
5. Go up to Transfer, select Capture Text, browse to
desktop and name the file
6. Make an inbound or outbound test call
7. In Hyperterminal, select Transfer, Capture Text
and Stop the Capture
8. Double click on the file and verify that the file has
data on it.
9. Repeat steps 5-8.
