I read another thread with the same problem I am having. My question is, I am running IP500 V1, SW ver 4.2(2). Can this system be upgraded to 7.0(12)?? so my combo analog trunk card can be seen.

Thanks for any help on this issue.

You can only use combo cards on v2's :)

Who told you that this would work?

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Sorry people I am working on a IP 500 P#(700417207). My supplier said it would work on my system.

Those combo cards only work on a IP500v2
So they should have told you that!

Sorry again people, this is what I am trying to do. I am installing a daughter card to add 4 analog trunks to my system. card P#(700417405), this daughter card is going on a IP500 phone 2 module, but the system is not seeing the daughter card on the phone 2 module. sorry again for some reason I was thinking this phone 2 module was a combo card. New to Avaya.

Because you are new to it, did you press the connector in?

That module will work with R4.2. If you've installed it correctly (with the power off) and it doesn't see it, I would try a reboot in Manager (File-Advanced-Reboot) and see if it then recoginizes it.

I have tried reseating the card, also used the screws and mounting stand off. rebooted the system manually as well from manager, still no luck. I am thinking I have a defictive part?

I am thinking default config and then see if it is recognised,
I am thinking it will

Thanks for this info. I resolved the issue by installing an older ver. ATM 4 daughter board. this is good to know for future.

Hi all,
I have the same problem. When I added a new analog card (700417405) to a system with R7.0, this card was not recognized. Of course I tested the same card on the other IPO System with R8.0 and the trunk card is working. The both systems are IPO500v2.

Thanks in advance
George

Are you on 7.0.12 or higher?
Only the first batch of combocards work on 7.0.5
Teh newer cards only work on 7.0.12 or higher (or 6.1.20 and higher)
