This is an IP500 running 8.0(18)
We use VMPro however the CompactFlash is mounted (holdmusic.wav being pulled from there)
It has a Mix of SIP Trunks and Analog Trunks inbound with Analog/Digial and VOIP extensions.

They tell us nothing, only Avaya can read that stuffY you need to post what happens just before that text appears, there have been many bugs that cause reboots from memory leaks to parking calls etc :)

when in doubt upgrade to 8.0.56 (I think) as the.18 was a low release number and has been improved a few times.
I know that this is not a fix for your problem but it will most likely be a solution and the reboots will stop.

amriddle: twice seemed to be when making SIP calls, once something else.

Westi: I thought that might be the answer, I need to obtain an update licence to upgrade correct?

not if you stay within the 8.1 release

Sweet, I like to be sure.

I've downloaded 56 just havn't installed it yet, guess I'll patch it up and see where it goes.
About how long does it normaly take to apply the patch and reboot?

IP500V1 takes about 5-10 minutes
IP500V2 takes 1.5 hrs (or so) as it needs to upload all the files onto the SD card, but the system is operational after 5-10 minutes and just uploads the files for the rest of the time from your PC without infringing on the phone traffic

you should also upgrade VM Pro if you have it to the matching release

AND
very important, do a backup on everything before you upgrade

For a 500v2 the quickest way to upgrade is to download and install the new manager, shutdown the sd card, remove from the system, put it in your lappy/PC card reader and do a recreate. It keeps the config in place, the system will run for 2 hrs without the card and then put it back in and reboot, it will upgrade itself and all the files will be there, only caveat is your embedded vm/attendants will not work for the time it's removed :)
