Is there any way of a short code parking a call like the Norstar. The Norstar system assign a park bin for you when the call is parked (like 101,102,103,etc.) but the avaya you have to make your own bin codes. Is there a way in a short codes to use the 101, 102, 103 etc.?

Thanks

Sure

Make one

Example

*66
park call
1
line id 0

the "1" will park the call on park slot 1
Phone manager and softconsole do have those slots by default

you can also make a shortcode

101
park call
101
0

then you can just transfer to 101 to park a call and it will park it on park slot 101 (just to be closer to the Nortel you are used to)
then make another shortcode
#101
unpark call
101
0

then you can pick up that call from any phone by dialing #101

you can then make the similar shortcodes for 102, 103 and so on.

If you can't be good, be good at it!

Then i would use *101
But when using those numbers you need to be carefull if you use phone manager or softconsole
Then you need to change those park slots to match them !

thanks for the info, but don't I have to now add a park 101 102 103 etc button on every set. or just add a unpark (ride) button. If I add just the unpark button then dial the paged park slot number will that work?

thanks

why *101 and not #101

*101 for parking and #101 for unpark

And yes you can just make a park button for one park slot
Put in the number and it works for every one who has the park button
