IP500 LAN Lock UP

Morning,

I think this has been covered before

I have an issue with an IP500 system that the LAN stops responding after about 3 or 4 hours of use. Stops responding to pings ect and all the phone managers drop off.

All the digital phones continue to work ok.

Reboot and all is fine for 3 or 4 hours

Any ideas it running 5.0 (18) was running 4.2.(11)

Its got worse since the upgrade

Tried to do "Erase Configuration (Default)" thru the manager and then send the config back?

I have seen ipo's with a bad lan port.
Try lan2 and see what happens then (if possible)

yeah i saw this around 4.2. swapped to lan2 for a couple of weeks to prove it out and everything was fine. swapped the unit over in the end.

Nope no CQ

Avaya were taking to long to diagnose and i couldnt be a test site

i ran the development traces and you could see pool 3 buffers reducing untill it got to zero and locked up

downgraded to 5.0 (15) all ok

I had 3 406 on the scn site i upgraded, and only one came up with the buffer issue, you might not be able to reproduce it... :)

We had this issue as well this week (IP406V2). Downgraded to 5.0.15 and it's working fine again.

5.0.18 on a 412 is running without problems (so far...)
