We have a system with 3 SIP trunks. Recently added the third trunk for a separate company working on the same system. Two of them are from the same provider.

Only one of the trunks will work from the same provider. Each trunk works ok individually if we delete the other. (the third trunk from the other provider is unaffected). SIP licences are in place and valid.

Each trunk is showing as registered in System Status.

No incoming or outgoing calls on the second trunk. First trunk is ok.

Tried on site on a V7 system but the same happens on our v9 system.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions :)

Who is the SIP provider? If they use the same SBC to register back to separate accounts more than likely wont work i.e Gamma.

ACSS (SME)
APSS (SME)

The provider is not Gamma.

It is BT Wholesale / Hicom on Broadsoft Platform just using username/password authentication

Why not create two different URIs on the one existing BT Wholesale trunk with its own login credentials and incoming/outgoing line ID particular for the third company.
Using user rights you can route dialled numbers to a specific ARS/SIP trunk.

Ive had the same issue, some sip providers I have tested with give me trouble getting 2 different accounts to register at same time, as long as I turn one off the other works. but others providers work fine. I dint know that it was because of the SBC they use?

@DCPTS : I hear you have had your answer from other sources and now you come here asking the same question.
If the provider cannot handle two SIP trunks from the same source then it is just bad luck for you and your customer.
Lesson : believe your advisors and have trust in them.
