Very consistent.. all is fine then after 2 minutes the calls drop.

Also, the IPO isn't seeing any of the name information, but the 8500 does... this is not nearly as crucial though

thanks

It's stated in some documentation that you don't see the name information on the IP Office end. If you use Phone Manager though..it does!

I've got this working on our house switch....taken a lot of time to get the config right - it seems ok now. Tell me your trunk settings and I'll compare them to mine (ours used to drop out all the time too)

Compression is set to Automatic on the IPO side, on the 8500 side its set to 711

Only things checked are enable fast start, out of band DTMF

H450 says H450

I am seeing this in the logs when the call drops

a lot of
62880mS PRN: Round trip delay timeout retry=4, lost ack: seq=7, ack=6
then finally

86889mS ERR: Round trip delay timeout expiry, clearing call

Mine is set to the following

Transparant 64k
Enable Fast Start
Out of Band DTMF
Allow Direct Media Path
And H450 is set to QSIG

Try those!

Good luck

Transparent didnt change anything. THe S8500 is set for 711 ULAW so it overrides me no whatever what i set the IPO for.

H450 QSIG wont work because we dont have QSIG on our S8500, tried for the hell of it, no avail

any ideas?

i dont understand why it counts down for this ack timeout, then disconnects.. THe call is working fine until the IPO kills it!

As far as I know, the S8500 doesn't mate properly with the H450. It should probably be set to QSig, on the 8500 side of the trunk, there is an "a" and a "b" setting. Sorry, don't know any more details on the S8500 side.
On the IPO 3.0 Docs CD, there is an app note for linking an IPO and an S8300.

Supplementary Service Protocol b (This is QSIG on the S8500)
The app note says that H450 is the equivalent on the IPO side.

the guy that handles our S8500 in new york said it doesnt support QSIG

Im guessing its a licensing thing, i'll have to ask

It works fine until the IPO kills it, thanks for the help

I tried changing the signalling on "Suppplementary Services Protocol" from a to b, but i get this message on the 8500

"b" QSIG Basic Supplementary Services feature not assigned.

Does this mean we aren't licensed for it?

Issue is resolved.. i had to disable H 323 translations on my Sonicwall routers, running the latest firmware.

Only thing that still doesnt work is i dont get the name/number on the IPO side, only the S8500 side

Guessing that cant be fixed without purchasing QSIG
