Ok, so has anybody been able to get an old external PHONE 8V2 to work on an IP Office 500v2 running release 9.1? It's running on a 500v2 on release 8.1 but want to make sure before I upgrade to 9.1.
Thanks.

IP 400 modules won't work in 9.1, nor will any legacy carrier cards.

IP400 Phone V2 will (and IP400 ATM 16 and IP400 DS V2). Their internal circuit boards are the same as in the IP500s so the 9.1 software doesn't distinguish.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Hmm. Reading the 9.1 GA bulletin (TB 175) it says they won't support them, but it doesn't specify V1 or V2. I'll trust sizbut's experience over my own.

Note: IP Office Release 9.1 will no longer support the following legacy IP 400 modules:
 Phone 8/16/30
 DS 16/30
 DIGITAL S0x8 and DIGITAL S0x16
 Extension/VCM Carrier

I can't say I've ever run a 400 module on any 500 equipment. I came into the IPO world when the 500V2 was just being introduced.

The GA Bulletin is for V1 Ip400 modules and legacy card carriers. (IP400 PRI and VCM Cards) can no longer be used. As Sizbut said IP400V2 modules are exactly the same internally as their IP500 counterparts.

I think an external Phone 8 expansion module is what the mean.
