Hi ...

I have setup an IPO Rls 8.1 in Main site and I have many Branches to connects IP Phones inside it.
Here is the status:
The IP Offfice IP Address is 170.20.0.11
The IP Address in the Branches is starts from IP Adrress 170.20.0.12 to 170.20.0.25
All the sites is pingable to the IPO IP Adddress but the phones not connected "Server Unreachable"
Here is the IP Routes I set:

0.0.0.0
255.255.255.0
170.20.0.1

whats the Problem Here ?
Thanks

So the branches use the same IP range or did you make a typo?
If this is what it is then you need:

170.20.0.0
255.255.255.0
170.20.0.1

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Set this as the ip route:
IP Address : 0.0.0.0
Mask : 255.255.255.255 or 0.0.0.0
Gateway : 170.20.0.1
Destination: LAN1

BUT, as the phones are in the same subnet as the IP Office this route is not used nor needed.

Ask the IP network designer/maintainer for help.

Hi ...

I have a mistake on Configuration given:

The IP Address of the IP Office is : 172.20.0.11
on the other branches the IP Address is started from: 172.21.0.X to 172.35.0.X
from any branches we can ping the IP Address of the IP Office but when connectecd IP Phones its replies "Server Unreachable".

whats the best routes to bulid on the IPO?
and whats the Additional Configuration on the network we must to do to be these phones to connecte ?

Thanks

You must have a default gateway setup in the IP Office like
0.0.0.0
0.0.0.0
Gateway IP Address
LANx

In the IP Phones you best use DHCP with scope options ( Google : avaya ip phone scope options )
Or set ip addresses manually were the callserver and fileserver ip address equals the ip address of the IP Office.

Hi ...

you mean like this :

IP Address : 0.0.0.0
Mask : 0.0.0.0
Gateway : 170.20.0.1
Destination: LAN1

Is there any thing should be done on the routers ?

Thanks

I think you need to do some learning and training. This is really basic stuff and you have not provided any evidence of any troubleshooting carried out or even o sensible design. Tek-tips is not about the skilled people here doing your job by remote control for nothing

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Hi intrigrant...

can you plz updates me .
its urgent case for me.

The routers should pass all traffic between the subnets, nothing special there.

Hi intrigrant ...

Please confirm me thats on IP routes just sets the following :

IP Address: 0.0.0.0
Mask: 0.0.0.0
Gateway IP Address: 172.20.0.1
Destenation: LAN1

Thanks

Dear intrigrant ...

Thank you for your effort.
The IP Phones is connected, the problem was in the routing.
But I have A problem now in voice.
when calling from IP to dogital, there is no problem in the voice.
but when calling from IP to another IP in different Branches there is no voice.

so if you can advice me whats to do next?

Thanks.

turn off direct media path. if that fixes it, there is still a routing issue.

Tomas, you really need to update yourself on how network routing works. You can't just plug it in and expect it to work.

If you want ip phones in different ip segments (ie 172.21.0.x and 172.23.0.x) to talk to each other, realize that also the audio is network packets. Although the initial call setup is done by the IPO (who is aware of and can reach both segments) the audio travels directly between the two phones. This means that a device in 172.21.0.x must be able to reach 172.23.0.x and vice versa. This is not taken care of in the IPO but in your network! The gateways in all segments should be made aware of all others.

Ofcourse disabling direct media is an option. This forces the audio through IPO. I personally like to have my network in order and just use it the way it's supposed to work, with direct media :)
