Has anybody had any success with this, we are running the IP endpiont license with a VCM in the office. Have tested with netmeeting but the quaility is very poor.

Does anybody know of any other software we could try, I have tried using phone manager however it does detect the sound cards in any pc I have tried.

rickuk99,

The operating system has to recognize the sound-card not the phone-manager software.
Also only the Phone-Manager Pro with the IP licence can work as a soft-phone.

RickUK - it sounds like you need to address your hardware issues. Maybe ask IanH if he can help you source some SB compatible drivers. I will ask him for you. He's always been very helpful with other hardware queries we have had.

rickuk99,

IanH said that he will look at this for you. He thinks you must be doing something wrong and everything like that.

rickuk,

Sure enough, IanH looked at it and you were completely off the mark and everything like that. He had a word with his mate John and he also agreed. Something to do with hyper-threading or something like that and everything else.

He will be contacting you direct as I've given him your mobile number.

Hi,

This is IanH - I had to rejoin as my last username became invalid (possibly something to do with the asp code or maybe my PIX firewall as it filters some strange stuff and everything like that etc etc).Hehehe

My softphone is basically something I cobbled together from various other bits and pieces of software my mate John and I cobbled together etc etc. I won't bore you with the details (for once) but suffice to say it just about works and John and I use it quite a bit to communicate when we're both playing Command and Conquer and other online games. That reminds me, which version are you running at the moment? That reminds me, have you got ASDL yet? Hehehe

I've been in this business for 5 years and I have to say you guys have landed on your feet because of all the new softphones coming out etc etc. Hehehe

Speak to you later.
