I am have an issue with a softphone setup. I am trying to use my existing extension which is connected to an Avaya 5410 phone. I am running 4.0.7 and IP softphone version 5.2 SP4. I keep getting the error You are attempting to log into an extension that is associated with another station. Would you like to override that association? When I select Yes the prompt will not go away and it will not connect. Any help much appreciated. THanks!
 
Check you can reach the clan in your table or does the table need updating?

Hi reedler

There is a existing extension the same number as you are adding. Better check it first on the IP phone registration. Try "List Register".
 
IP Softphone doesn't support the 5410 model according to the documentation (Avaya IP Softphone Release 6 User Reference).
 
Thanks ckhwi, I was using the IP Phone SW when I should have been using the Phone Manager software. You were correct as our system isn't compatable with IP Softphone. Thanks!
