I have 2 questions? How do you get IP phones to work on a ip office and does it matter what model IP phone you use with IP Office. Next is what is the advantage and disadvantage of using an IP phone versus just a regular digital phone? All help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Avaya IP Office supports the folowing range of IP hardphones 4601, 4602, 4610, 4621, 5601, 5602, 5610 and 5620.
The only things you need extra on IP Office is a VCM Card and power sources for the IP hradphones.
If the VCM card is fitted then it's more or less plug and play.

Digital two-wire phones have :
Better sound quality
Do not suffer from network problems
cannot be more the 1 km from the IP Office

IP Phones:
Can be placed virtually at any place in the world
Can be moved around without recabling

IP telephony is ideal for remote locations but not for in-house telephony, then i preffer Digital Stations.

Also, anytime you bring IP Phones into the picture, to get Avaya support, you have to have a network assessment done as well. Not necessarily expensive, but another cost none the less.

Thank you for all your help. It is greatly appreciated. Got it to work, but im sure I will be posting more questions. Thanks again
