Customers are complaining about the low volume on the IP Phone 2002. They have already raise the volume to the max on the phone itself.

Has anybody experienced this problem? Any suggestions?

Hi filoloxnyc, Try moving the phone to a different jack, if still persists try a different port on the switch. It sounds like a signal or power degregation issue.

Does the problem exist on both internal and external calls? Might be a trunk problem. I have never heard of the port that an IP set is plugged into on the ethernet switch making a difference unless it is a line powered LAN. Perhaps the power supply for the phone is the problem. I also wonder if the codec chosen for IP sets the phone is giving you a problem.

What's the speakerphone quality like? Any better? I'm wondering if it's a handset issue?

Remember, when it comes to VoIP, if your getting the packets, and you can heard the person, everything is working in terms of the swtich and BCM/Succession. It is either a handset issue (easily verified) or there is a problem with the phone (I2002) its self. There is no audio settings/issues when it comes to the switch or BCM, since it's VoIP/Data packets and not actual voice that is being sent and received.
