We are possibly looking to network these 2 system together.The IP Office would be in the US and the Siemens in Prague. The customer is going to have a WAN connection between these 2 locations.

In the thread above it sounds like they were able to accomplish this task. Does anyone have any more detailed information on programming both systems?

Thanks

Mike

Hi

Don't know the Siemens that well, but I have linked IPO's to other systems using IP trunks and also a Westell IQ box a couple of times

Siemens;

Trunks > Param> S0: ECMA-QSIG master (direct) crlenght 2 PRI
Use a crossed isdn cable.

Create an LCR;

Dialed digits: 1-X-X (1 = the first tel# digit on the IPO)
Route: select the ECMA Qsig from above.
Dial rule: Netw Prov "Main network supp"
Dail Rule A or route prefix and the A so trnk3 is D83A.
The rest of the settings cant be the same as a CorenetIP connection between two HiPath's.

For the IPO:

Create an IP line.
VoIPline tab,
Incomming/Oitgoing Group ID anything but not used on other lines.

VoIP settings tab,
H323 > Suppl. Serv. change it to None
Untick all options except for Out Of band DTMF.

Create ShortCodes:
Code:2XX (2 = the first tel# digit on the Siemens)
Feat:Dial
TelN:2N (2 = the first tel# digit on the Siemens)
LnID: The ID from the VoIPline tab.

Make sure both systems have an IP route to each other.

I thinkm that's about it :)

PS. you need to have the correct licences and a VCM on the IPO
The setup i gave you is for a Hipath3000 but if im not mistaken it's mostly the same.

Here is also a doc about a SIemens and a Cisco.

Setup the H4k part and use the setting from above on the IPO.

@Amriddle Avaya/Siemens/Nec2000IPS/Alcatel OmniPCX.
Last friday ive connected a IPO 5.0.23 over qsig ip to an Alcatel in Madrid and Valencia :) With breakouts from both sides over IP and when those all failed it got out over ISDN :)

Bas1234 thanks for the information. I do not work on Siemens can you please clarify what this means?

Trunks > Param> S0: ECMA-QSIG master (direct) crlenght 2 PRI
Use a crossed isdn cable

I believe the first part is programming but were does the cable come into play? Is this a connection to the network or what? These systems will be in two different countries.

Thanks

No, the cable is indeed for ISDN not for IP. Copy/Paste error :)
