We have a request to setup out-calling for an emergency mailbox. They have embedded voicemail and an alpha-numeric pager. Anyone configured this before? We have done this on Avaya partner systems for years but not tried IP Office with embedded. I quickly looked through doc but didn't notice anything related to configuration of pager number/commands/

Thank you for any assistance!

Don't see anything related to adding pauses to the outcalling number. You may have to have it dial an internal extension that is forwarded to the pager number, but in the user short codes of the user, the pager number includes the commas for spaces

Ext. 299
Forward unconditional to 95551212
Shortcode 95551212
Telephone number 5551212,,,,,,1234"#"
ARS 50

Make you outcalling number 299, the mailbox dials Ext. 299, 299 is forwarded to 9-555-1212, matches a user shortcode that includes commas for pauses and whatever needs to be displayed on the pager. Set the outcalling timeout long enough that the call goes on long enough to activate the pager

Fantastic idea TTT! Will try this out tomorrow am and post back results. Thank you

TTT - it worked like a charm. The DTMF tones to the paging provider work over the "outcalling voice" which is attempting to advise the destination party that they have voicemail (which is what I was worried about) but it turns out that it worked every time! Thanks so much for the help with this one - (just when I thought paging was dead & gone . . . . . !)
