I have an ip office 500 v2 on version 9.0.5.0 build 972. I would like to update my system to 11.
Do i have to get a new PRI license . Right now I have a 23 line digital pri coming into a grandstream GXW4501 which is connected to the ip office .
I am asking because i am getting different answers from vendors.

Your existing licenses will convert through the licensing upgrade process. So if you have 2 PRI Add 8 channel licenses toady, for a total of 24 (you get 8 channels automatically with the PRI card)you will still have it when you do the upgrade.

On the control unit it shows slot1 port T1PRI
number of channels 23
number of administered channels 23
In slot 1 port 2 it shows not in use.
Thats all i see as far as channels. Where do I look?

Launch System Status. Go to Resources > Licenses, you will see how many Additional PRI Channel licenses you have. For a full 23 channel PRI, you need 2 IP 500 Universal PRI (8 Additonal Channels) entries that are valid. See the picture for a 23 channel PRI that is full licensed

This all that shows. But my lines work fine and I have had 16 simultaneous calls .

No need to mask the license keys in screen shots. Only useful to someone else if we mug you and steal the SD card out of your system. :)

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

I know there are no pri licenses visible but the system is working fine with a digital pri coming into a grandstream . I need some explanation?
If I upgrade will it continue to work fine?

Sounds like a IP400 PRI card which is fully licensed. Show a screen cap of the SSA general system tab. It might show a slot with a card carrier which means a legacy card.

It is a legacy card you cannot upgrade until you replace the card and get the licenses.

Ok. Have to see if it pays. I can move to 3cx and buy new phones for probably the same cost and have a modern system.

It is if your ip based. I have all digital phones which i would have to replace.
