I have IP Office 500 V2 6.0.
I configured LAN2 with Public IP , now i try to connect the IP office soft phone 6.13.1.2.17 build 59616 , it connects but when i try to make calls ( incoming or Outgoing) , the calls are established but i cannot hear anything and the other party the same.
even trying to call internal extension we cannot hear each other.

the port-forwarding on my router is well configured i guess, i tried PFPort checker and it says port 5060, 1719, 1720 TCP/UDP are all opened on my computer.
can anyone help me and tell me what is wrong.

Note i am originally from EGYPT and it was working there. Now i am in USA and it fails to work here.

You will need a VPN.
The softphone also uses RTP ports and those will not follow over the internet.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Well, you said it was working in Egypt...but not in the US. There is quite a bit of variables involved at this point including port blocking, firewalls, etc etc. What works in one environment wont always work in another. But tlpeter is right, you really do need a VPN for it to work appropriately.

if RTP will not follow over internet, how it was working in egypt?
and what is the port #s for RTP ?

Ports can be found on the lan settings.
Ports can be blocked so that is what is happening.
Personally i would never put my IPO straight on the internet.
It is at all times better to use a VPN.

tlpeter and others are right, you need a vpn, but one you may try short of a VPN is to put you PC on the remote side in a DMZ I have seen this work. there may be other issues with that though.
