IP Office SOE DS (3voIP) ringing problems

Hi All,

I have a problem with an SOE running 4.0.10 with a BRI8 card and all DS phones with some 56 series handsets. All incomming calls from all numbers appear to ring all the phones no matter how they are programmed. I know it sounds like the wrong number of digits being sent but that is not the case and also the system was fine till it was taken up to 4.05!

Now if the fax on 201 rings so do all the other phones but the fax still answers correctly!

I have had the lines an DDI numbers checked and reset etc to no avail.

I have flattened the kit and rebuilt a basic config but no good. i have not yet changed the BRI card which could also be an Alchemy BRI8 not sure, which might explain it I guess?

Running out of idea's!

Any help would be gratefully received.
 
Have you accidently set line appearences over Call appearence keys?
Could you get a monitor trace of the said events?
Is the DDI/DID routing in via the undefined incoming call route entry?

Sounds like you have line appearance keys programmed as TP mentions. You can set the line key to have an apperance but set it not to ring. I have read some threads about issues with this where calls still ring. Latest 4.1 might be okay though.

Just use Call Appearance keys and a couple of park slots. very easy, trouble free.
 
You may have a point or two guys, we do have line appearance keys programmed so I will check this out first thing tomorrow morning and I'll also check the Incomming routing.

To prove the system is o.k, I'll remove the Call appearance keys and set it back to default and see what that does.

Hi guys,

Just thought you'd like to know, I erased all the button programming and set them to default and all works as it should.

I need to work out if the button programming i had done was to blame or a problem with 4.0.10.

Will be re-introdcuing the Line Appearance keys phone by phone to see where the problem is and will let you know the outcome.
