Hi All,

thanks in advance for any help. An IP Office 412 running 6.0.18 is outputting a V8000 number as the initiating extn (Party1Device) instead of the extn number. This is happening for 60% of external outgoing calls. The other 40% are fine and include the EXXXX number for the extension. Example below:

3171712200mS CDR: SMDR OUTPUT '2014/02/27 13:29:21,00:03:48,0,1129,O,0XXXX711056,0XXXX711056,,0,1040258,0,V8553,U8 553.0,T9004,Line 4.0,0,0,,,,,,,,,,,U,PresXXXXXXXXXXuti1,

I understand that the V number stands for "Other" device and that the V8553 in the example above refers to Extn ID 553 which is the correct extn that did indeed make the call. What I don't understand is why some calls report the V8XXX when others do not. And, more importantly, is there anything I can do to stop this happening.

Thanks again

P.S. Where a V8000 number is output it is always for the same extns. Likewise it is always the same exts that output the correct EXXXX number.

IIRC V is Voicemail
Why is your VM Server making external calls?

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

I think V9000 refers to voicemail but V8000 refers to "Other" device.

Ae they all dialing from their phones or are some using applications to dial?

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
