Can anyone tell me where the 4xx settings file is located for IP OFFICE.
is there a file for all ranges of handset like 14 range etc. Want to increase the TX gain value for 1416 phones
you should not adjust the 46xxsettings.txt file, you should make a 46xxspecials.txt file instead with the info you want to change. This will leave the 46xxsettings autogenerated as it should be.
Mike
I basically want to change the tx gain for the 1416 range of handset. Does the 46xxspecials.txt fie contain the same parameters as 46xxsettings.txt need to change this file as the options aren't available in the portal.
Then do the same using the address 46xxspecials.txt (the system will auto-generate a sample file which has all the structure in place to which you can add commands for particular types of phone or for all phones.
Use right-click | Save as or whatever method your browser has for saving a copy of the file locally for your edits.
Putting your edits in the specials file means the IP Office can continue auto-generating the settings file to match other things in the IP Office system configuration. Also useful as the IP Office team change whats in the auto-generated file as they support new phones and new SIP/H323 phone features.
FYI, the 14XX phones are digital and do not use the 46XXsettings file. Only IP phones pull the 46xxsettings file, as sizbut mentioned it is for H323 or SIP phones. If you have 16XX phones then you are on the right track.
Yes this was one of my questions earlier regarding weather or not this file also included the digital phones such as the 14 range. Is there a file for them also to amend such settings.
