Bought through scansource. They cant support it, Avaya would not answer any questions about it.
Put in a service request and still waiting for a response.
I cant find any documentation on it such as the default ip address and user and pw.
I connected a monitor to the vga and a usb keyboard and turned the power on.
It will start to boot up and hang, the display just says uncompressing.
Tried another one and it booted farther and then hung.
It is my understanding that once it comes up I can type ipconfig and get the address.
Avaya needs to support what they sale if they want to continue to stay in business.
Any help on this matter would be appreciated.
 
Avaya supports it if you are a BP and have the correct credentials to get support from them. I guess you are not a BP and therefore have no access to the support documents.
So here and here are the admin and install documents but that is as far as I can help as I never touched one.

how is it that you bought it through scansource and they CAN'T support it? hogwash I would return it and ask for a refund asap! and look for a new parts vendor as well.

 
Ha ha smokinjoe2938, that is how distributors work.
A phew people who need to support everything which is impossible.
I worked for one and keeping up with the IPO only was already a hard job.
Now you need to know IPOSS, ACCS, ASBCE too.
Networking became a part of it too.
A specialist should be specialized in to one or two of these items otherwise you cannot keep up as it is software which goes fast these days.

Afaik the distributor is not allowed to sell systems to partners without the needed certifications...
 
If that was adhered to we wouldn't get so many dumb questions about the IP office on here :)

 
we bought one from them, they wouldn't help for free, but they had us put in a request for a tech to program it for us for a fee remotely. wasnt the best. but it is working now.
 
we are all saying nice things here but no response yet from the OP

are you still there MTSTEK did the docs help or did you get help anywhere else?
