Hi everybody,

I 've the following problem, with teo IP Ofiice's configure in SCN.

My H.323 trunks are working properly, i ve tested this through status manager.

When i am calling an extension in the othe IPO am getting the following error"Incompatible disc"

Avaya says it is a routing problem but all my ip connectivity seems to be working fine.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Both routers are Draytek Vigor 3900

In the IPO in site 1

i 've add a route to 10.231.1.0 network gw 10.0.1.1

In the IPO in site 2

In your router do you have VOIP setting

SIP alg / SIP Transformation
H323 alg / H323 Transformation

If yes, disable it on the router.

Typically SIP ALG is done via telnet on Drayteks I believe, not via the GUI :)

Hi,

I dont ;ve a setting H.323 alg/H323 transformation in my routers

What else i should ckeck ?

Which one is it?

Never touched a Draytek, but for some other brands you need a CLI or Telnet session to kill off the inspection.

Have you followed the tips from Draytek on setting up VPN?

It may also confuse the route(r)s that you have 10.0.1.0/24 + 10.231.1.0/24.
Why not have them configured 10.231.1.0/24 + 10.231.2.0/24?

Kind regards

Gunnar

I followed the guidelines and the VPn is working properly, i 'll check from telnet if there is a H.323 alg setting, because from GUI i didnt find anything

There is no setting for H.323 even in CLI.

The Allow direct media path should be disabled or not ?

Thanks

Try to disable it. (That's not a solution, but a good indicator on routing issues.)

If that fix it, you should look at your routes

Kind regards

Gunnar

There most certainly is a SIP ALG in Draytek routers, SIP is very close to H323 they use the same codecs etc the only difference is the message format and signalling port, you still need to turn the SIP ALGs off really.

You need a fair amount of both networking knowledge and IP Office knowledge/experience to implement and/or troubleshoot this sort of thing, the length this thread has reached without any really useful feedback or progress made is testament to that :)
