IP Office R9 SMTP settings not working

We recently upgraded from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016 along with moving to a new domain. My original settings were the external IP of my 2010 box, port 25, a from address, and no authentication needed. My new settings are the external of the new 2016 box, port 25 a from address, and I've tried with and without authentication. I've logged into webmail with the account I was using without issue. I'm not seeing any email come in when leaving a VM. I've checked our spam filters and it's not in there.

Is there a way to send a test email where I can see some sort of error to point me in the direction of what's wrong? Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could be missing?

 
Somehow this ended up working itself out. I left the SMTP settings pointing to the new server and it automagically started working today.
