ISDN dialin is not common in the states and actually rare. Regular modem access is a drag and I would rather drink anti-freeze than wait for refreshs.

The states should pickup on good trunks :)
64k is also not very fast but it works when there is nothing else to use.

Lucky to get 14.4 and the reason why dsl killed modem web access.

We have become accustomed to beefy web access using remote clients. Spoiled that way I suppose.

We do teamviewer a lot so i am spoiled too :)

What kind of throughput do you get using the isdn modems. Do you really approach 64k?

Yes, ISDN is 64k.
It is not as analog trunks hoping to get more then 30k :)
It must be a very bad line when it is not 64k.

And if you enable Mulltilink on de DialIn > PPP tab then you have 128k :)

man-o-man that would have been nice back in the day. I can still remember watching in agony as the screen refreshed...s-l-o-w-l-y. The entire time I spent those brain cycles trying to figure out how to transfer the data back to me, make the changes on a local computer then send the changes back.

CarGoSki,

The first computer i played with was a 268 on 12Mhz :)
That was slow but Larry (Leisure Suit Larry) played nice on it.

Yeah I played that game on a similar computer back when both were new. Larry was cool. Larry was a phone guy...

You could mix up the stories from all the Sierra games back then to make a new game: Larry was arrested by a cop from Police Quest when they searched and found a princess from Heros Quest in the trunk of his car.

Who would've guessed this would be thread-jacked by Leisure Suit Larry... <rolls eyes>

I think Larry had less bugs :)

I have no problems with the slow dialin here, I don't use VNC to the voicemail server but just log in with the VM client to get the call flows or get the config via Manager and it works OK as long as I have 2 modems on my PC :)
But Logmein is still my preferred method of connection if there is a VM pro on site. But seeing that lately the embedded is on a ratio of 4 to 1 we need the dialin for remote access more than 2 years ago where the embedded was closer in price than now.

I just wish Avaya would fix the problems with management via RDP.

Larry would have used a modem for the computer and a club for the girls.

According to the course 1S00137O - Selling IPO release 8

C100 new VM module will max out with 20 channels. Just a sweet spot.
Also one X mobile will support Android . Anyone here test it yet ?

Yes i do and i love it.
Do not forget that the C110 is a small server for small solutions.
although 20 channels of VM is not a small solution :)

Personally, I like the idea of one box do all & mounted on the rack . My users sometimes messed up and rebooted the VM pro by mistake ( yep - even we label the darn thing ) as it DOES NOT HAVE A BIG RED AVAYA on it .

Madwok, get a S8500 and remove the SAMP card :)

Then you have a nice server with an Avaya logo on it.
But it is a great idea indeed.
